The 鶹߲app Code of Professional Conduct is voluntarily agreed to by members of the association and represents the aspirations of the profession relative to clients, owners, colleagues, and the public.
“鶹߲app Members” as used in this Code is a term that applies to all members in performance of their services for construction programs and projects. 鶹߲app Members provide a broad range of services to their clients and employers that encompass program, project, and construction management and also serving as owner advisors or representatives.
The code is rooted in the historical values of the profession and linked directly to the 鶹߲app Statement of Values and Policy Framework.
Four fundamental principles form the foundation of the code: Ethical Practice, Professional Excellence, Responsibility to the Public, and Client-Centered Practice.
As a member of 鶹߲app, I/we agree to the following Code of Professional Conduct:
Ethical Practice
1. 鶹߲app Members should be guided in all their relationships by the highest standards of integrity and honesty.
2. 鶹߲app Members should conduct themselves honorably, responsibly, ethically, and lawfully.
3. 鶹߲app Members should avoid conduct or practices that deceive or represent an actual or perceived conflict of interest.
4. 鶹߲app Members should strive to create a diverse workforce and should respect the rights of others by not discriminating on the basis of race, color, gender, marital status, religion, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
5. 鶹߲app Members should have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment.
Professional Excellence
6. 鶹߲app Members should perform services only within their areas of competence and qualification.
7. 鶹߲app Members should contribute to the advancement of the program, project, and construction management profession by using best practices, continuing their professional education, and contributing to the development of the future workforce.
Responsibility to the Public
8. 鶹߲app Members should hold paramount the health, safety, and welfare of the workplace and the public.
9. 鶹߲app Members should guide and aid in defining and meeting objectives for environmental sustainability and resiliency throughout a program or project’s life cycle.
Program and Project-Centered Practice
10. 鶹߲app Members should ethically represent the interests of the owner or client.
11. 鶹߲app Members should strive for the best outcomes for all parties vested in the program or project.

The following is incorporated into internal, 鶹߲app documents.
- Currently, all CCMs, CACMs, and CMITs are required to affirm their adherence to the Conditions and Conduct when they renew their certifications.
- Further, all CCM, CACM, and CMIT applicants are required to affirm their adherence to Conditions and Conduct when they apply for the credential.
- This practice continues with the stackable credential.
- Effective January 1, 2021, the Board of Governors require at least 1 ethics or safety education PDH for renewal of the CCM and CACM.
